Why we love this flower:
- Uses: Cut Flower, dried flower
- Maintenance: Low, tolerates poor soil
The Mellow Yellows Echinacea series range from rich gold to yellow, primrose, and even cream. Every time you look, there's an interesting play of colors going on with these long-lasting daisies.
Mellow Yellows is compact enough for containers, giving you another option if you are short on sunny garden space or want to bring the flower garden to nose-level on the patio, deck, or balcony. It thrives in full sun or light shade and prefers average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. Avoid overly rich or fertile soil or the plant will become leggy. Deadheading and cutting back stems encourage further blooms and reduce self-seeding.
